Mom knows best
Most designers of casual games aren’t casual gamers themselves. It’s very unlikely that you’ll choose to make a career of designing computer games if all you have played yourself is the occasional game of Solitaire.
So, what should a casual game designer do to find out what a casual gamer wants? Easy, go ask your mom. Or better yet, watch her play your game. Trust me, when it comes to casual games, your mother knows best.
